Growth isn’t something that is always external. In fact, especially in Christ our growth is internal. It may be that God worked out patience in our lives or he worked on self control, but those aren’t things that can visibly be seen. So, to others it appears that you’re not progressing or growing but in reality you really are. Everyone needs to grow in different areas according to their assignment. If we try to grow based on the standards of others we will never reach our full potential. Take your eyes off people and their comments and focus on the one true God who is perfecting you.
Philippians 1:6
